After moving to the Comox Valley in 2021 a lifelong dream became a reality with the creation of Parkside Wood Studio.
A passion for quality and creativity drives what we do. Parkside Wood Studio is a boutique woodshop specializing in Custom-Handcrafted Furniture, Slab Processing, and Commercial Tabletop Refinishing for both residential and commercial clients. Our clients range from home and business owners to designers and other woodworkers be it hobbyists or professionals.

We are more than happy to collaborate with our clients to source and procure the species and size of slab they are looking for. Between our stocked wood slabs and our dedicated supply partners, we will find the perfect piece of ethically sourced wood.

We believe the quality of work is reflected in the tools you use. Would you want your surgeon using a rusty scalpel? Of course not, and for that reason we don’t build furniture with construction tools. We are particular about our machines and tools, they help us create and fulfil our vision. With brands like Anderson Selexx, Festool, General, Woodmaster, Narex, HOVR Solutions, Rampa, 3M , Amana, and Woodpeckers, we cut straight, level flat and sand smooth.
CNC
Anderson America high-speed 5′ x 12′ flat-table CNC router. 10hp 3 phase spindle with Masso G3 touch control system. Our industrial-grade CNC router is the workhorse of our shop. Built for precision, power, and reliability, it handles everything from large slab flattening to detailed CNC routing. Its robust construction and commercial-grade performance allow us to produce exceptionally flat surfaces and consistently high-quality results on every project.
Planer
Our 25-inch Woodmaster planer is equipped with a premium helical cutter head, delivering exceptionally smooth, consistent results on both hardwoods and softwoods. The spiral carbide inserts produce a cleaner cut with significantly less tear-out, making it ideal for figured wood.
Machine Sanding
Our 38-inch Woodmaster drum sander produces a smooth, consistent surface while preserving the natural character of the wood. Ideal for tabletops and live edge slabs, it removes minor imperfections and machining marks with precision, creating a uniform finish that’s ready for final hand sanding and finishing. Its wide capacity ensures efficient processing of large projects without compromising quality.
